Student Activity Centre – Clubs & Houses
Each Club is an autonomous body in itself working in the flexible and broad guidelines of SAC. All clubs are managed by the students to develop their latent managerial skills. After all, BMIT is grooming them to be future techno-managers. The various activities of some of the club are highlighted as follows :
CS/IT Society : This club is for the Computer Science and Information Technology students. Various technical activities like paper-presentations, seminars, web-designing contests and software development take place here.
ECE Society : The Electronics and Communication Society deals with all aspects related to advancements in electronics. This club has regular technical seminars and paper presentations. Designing of electronic circuits is encouraged.
EE Society : Students from the Electrcal branch are members of this club. PCB and circuit designing is undertaken apart from various mini-projects under the guidance of the faculty. Paper presentations dealing with latest topics are held frequently.
Cultural Club : The liveliest of all clubs. This club has regular events which present amazing singing, dancing and acting capabilities of our students. Dramatics is a very important part of this club and the students come out with innovative ideas to target social issues. This club is also responsible to organize the annual BMIT festival, the BMIT FIESTA, held in January every year where students from all colleges of Jaipur are invited to take part.
PD Club : The personality development club is the most popular club among the students, dealing as it is with debates, extempore, group-discussions and all speech-related activities. Apart from this, students are trained in basic corporate etiquettes, resume writing and how to face an interview panel. Regular inputs from associated organizations are also arranged.
Sports Club : A healthy mind in a healthy body. The sports club motto motivates all students to take up sports as an outlet to their vast energy resource and to inculcate team spirit. Volleyball, table-tennis badminton and cricket tournaments are held regularly.
SIG1 : The special interest group comprises of students interested in cooking, gardening, interior decoration, photography and other fine arts. Tree-plantation campaigns, poster-making competitions and contests dealing with culinary skills are a big hit with the members and staff.
SIG2 : This special interest group deals with outdoor activities basically. It invites students into social-service, mountaineering, trekking, expeditions and movies. This club organizes blood-donation camps, visits to orphanages/old-age homes, trips to nearby sanctuaries and entertainment for its members through movies.
English Language Club: The importance of communication skills cannot be overstated in today’s world. The club specializes in using modern means like e-learning and arranging eminent guest lectures in English language and improvising spoken English.
